Catering for Danielle and Tom's wedding in Solihull


Danielle and Tom’s wedding was held on the 31st December, in a marquee at Deer Park Farm, Solihull, West Midlands.


Wedding Reception Drinks & Canapés


This was a lovely and relaxed wedding to finish off our 2016 event catering.

Ninety nine guest were invited to the wedding breakfast.

The reception drinks and canapés were served from 3pm with warm aromatic mulled wine and cider being served alongside Prosecco and beers.

Danielle chose the following selection of canapes for her guests, which included fish, meat and vegetarian options:



  • Salt and Pepper Squid
  • Teriyaki Salmon Cocktail skewer
  • Pan Seared King Prawns with a garlic and lime marinade
  • Rare Roast Beef with Horseradish and Caramelised Onion in a Mini Yorkshire Pudding
  • Char Sui Pork Skewer
  • Baked Parma Ham and Fig
  • Tempura Battered Vegetables with Wasabi mayo
  • Cherry Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil Tartlets
  • Tandoori Vegetable Cocktail skewer


The wedding cake, a beautiful and delicious 3 tier red velvet Victorian sponge with a cream cheese filling and garnished with berries, holly and snow was cut by the bride and groom at 4.15pm and served later as the dessert with fresh jugs of single cream.


The Wedding Breakfast

We started serving the wedding breakfast’s main course at 4.30pm:



Honey mustard pork loin joints with crackling served on wooden boards and carved by the guests at the table along with pre-carved medium roast beef and yummy Yorkshire puddings.


The vegetables were Rosti potatoes, honey glazed vegetables and a panache of seasonal vegetables. All of which was complimented with gravy, mustards and apple sauce.


The vegetarian and gluten free option was our delicious, seasonal winter vegetable wellington.

For the toasts we served Prosecco in Champagne glasses decorated with gold glitter around the rim, and each glass had a rosemary sprig, a fresh single cranberry and cranberry syrup.





The Evening Reception

One hundred and eighty guests attended the evening reception arriving at 7.30pm and drinks were served from our own Mobile Bar Hire Service.

At 9 pm., guests enjoyed a wedding cake of cheeses and Walter Smith pork pies, all served alongside a selection of fresh breads, crisp cheese crackers, a selection of homemade chutneys, fresh figs and grapes, washed down with a glass of vintage port.




To finish off the wedding night's catering we served bacon butties




After celebrating the arrival of 2017, we undertook our first catering event of the New Year by serving freshly cooked bacon rolls with a selection of sauces.
